Felix Bacolor (b. 1967, Philippines)
Felix Bacolor's experience in the arts range from commercial to expressive. Having worked for T commercial production, a television station, design companies here and abroad, his broad range of knowledge gives depth and meaning to his artworks. Bacolor graduated from the UP College of Fine Arts with a BFA in Painting in 1989. A Filipino native, many of his exhibitions, such as Stormy Weather (2010), Once Upon a Time & Other Stories (2009) and Interior Motives (2009), are displayed in his mother country.
Yan Shan Chun (b. 1957, China)
Yan Shan Chun graduated with his B.A. from Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1983 and began teaching at Hubei Fine Art Institute. He is currently deputy director and a first class artist of Shenzhen Fine Art Institute and the curator of Shenzhen International Ink Painting Biennale. His exhibitions include: Searching for West Lake in My Dreams: Yan Shanchun 2004 Paper Paintings (2005, Hanart TZ Gallery, Hong Kong), “West Lake” Series (2006, Contemporary Ink Painting Methods, Tianjin, China), Yan Shanchun Exhibition (2006, Zhu Qizhan Art Museum, Shanghai, China).
Wah Nu (b. 1977, Myanmar)
Wah Nu’s videos display a keen sensitivity to observations of nature and existence. Although artistic in nature, her work has strong documentary qualities. Recent exhibitions include The Rising Sun (2008 Art-U room, Tokyo), Cloud Department (2004 Lokanat Art Galleries, Yangon, Myanmar) and Artistiquement Femmes (2008 Alliance Française de Rangoun, Yangon, Myanmar).
Tozer Pak (b. 1977, China)
Tozer Pak graduated in 2002 from the Hong Kong Chinese University. Pak is a conceptual and performance artist who is well known as a regular visual art columnist in a local newspaper Mingpao. He was awarded an Overseas Exchange Prize (Chinese Performance Art) from Macao Museum of Art in 2005 and won the Lee Hysan Foundation Fellowship in 2006 from Asian Cultural Council supporting him to work in New York. In 2009 he represented Hong Kong at the Venice Biennale. Recent exhibitions include Points of Ellipsis… ( 2011 Osage Gallery, Hong Kong) All Days(s) All Night(s) (2009 Vitamin Creative Space, Guangzhou, China), Charming Experience (2009 Hong Kong Museum of Art) and Artysta z Hong Kong (2006 WAA Art Space, Warsaw Poland).
Shirley Tse (b. 1968, Hong Kong)
Shirley Tse’s sculptures, installation and photographs have been included in numerous museum exhibitions worldwide, among them are Waiting (2007 Murray Guy, New York, NY), Not Biodegradable (Whitespace, Atlanta, GA) and Rebus (2009 Museo Archeologico di Amelia, Italy). She has been a visiting artist at Yale School of Art, Vermont College, Claremont Graduate Univeristy, California College of the Arts and Northwestern University. She recently received a Guggenheim Fellowship Award for 2009/10 and a C.O.L.A. Individual Artist Fellowship.
