新水墨作品不拘泥于中国传统水墨画的绘画对象和手法，而是借用中国水墨精妙的表现形式，将抽象艺术推向创新的高度，表达艺术家在当代社会发展中的个性和思想。近年来，新水墨艺术与时代相契合，在上海得到了很好的发展，吸引了国内外艺术界的关注。

上海宝山国际民间艺术博览馆长期致力于多元艺术的展示、交流、研究与推广，也始终关注着新水墨艺术的发展。为此，今年五月，我们首次举办“水+墨”新水墨艺术展，非常荣幸地邀请到上海大学美术学院99创意中心艺术总监马琳博士担任展览策划；著名艺术家、批评家兼独立策划人王南溟主持相关学术论坛；展览汇集了八位著名艺术家和具有潜力的年轻艺术家的作品，着力呈现一场别有意境的画面。

站在不同角度的艺术家通过各自的作品发出多元的声音。五月，让我们共同在上海宝山国际民间艺术博览馆循着水墨晕染的痕迹，细细聆听。

The works of Neo Ink Painting do not rigidly adhere to the objects and techniques of the traditional Chinese ink painting, instead, they take advantage of the subtle forms of expression of Chinese ink and wash painting to push the abstract art to the height of innovation and to express the artist’s personality and ideas in the development of modern society. In recent years, the Neo Ink keeps pace with the times and has attracted the attention of the arts community at home and abroad with the sound development in Shanghai.

Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Arts Exposition has long been committed to the exhibition, exchange, research and promotion of multiple cultures, and has paid close attention to the development of the Neo Ink. To this end, we will hold the “Water+Ink” Neo Ink Arts Exhibition for the first time. It is a great honor to invite Doctor Ma Lin, Art Director of 99 Art Center of Fine Art College of Shanghai University to be the curator, and Wang Nanming, a famous artist, critic and independent curator to host the related academic forum. The exhibition highlights a collection of art works by eight well-known artists and promising young artists, striving to present an event of unique artistic conceptions.

The artists make their voices heard with their works from different perspectives. In May, let’s follow the traces of the ink at Shanghai Baoshan International Folk Arts Exposition and listen carefully.
