鱼非鱼 鱼是鱼

‘鱼’是北水十几年来一直持续表达的一个作品系列。‘鱼’—这一沉郁而又凝重的永恒生命象征，给人以严肃的伤感触痛，又有一种深沉的诗意般的寓意。其画面浓郁的色彩、厚重的肌理，总能唤起人类灵魂中纠结的生命感触。人鱼异类之间无法相通，彼此之间并没有办法交流感情，也很难强求一种共性，人类对生命的诉求就得不到关爱与尊重，其实，观鱼就是观己。因而画家就用拟人化的表达，使画面产生一种强烈的视觉感染力，使生命的弱性凸显沧桑、迷茫，更多的是无奈。生命可以占据我们的心灵从而达到物我两忘的境界，因而就使得画家把这种易于忽略的生命，表现得非常的忧郁、悲伤。

子非鱼，安知鱼之乐？悲伤也好，快乐也好，都是人类的一厢情愿，鱼非鱼，鱼是鱼。

Non-Fish  Fish  Fish  Fish

"Fish" is a series of works Bei Shui has been exploring and focusing on for many years.  "Fish", as a symbol of depressed and dignified eternal life, brings a kind of sad solemn tenderness and a deep poetic moral. The rich colors and thick texture of his paintings can always arouse a twisted spiritual human feeling.  There is no connection between man and fish, and there is no way to exchange feelings between them.  It is hard to impose on common characteristics.  Man's demands for life are hardly drawn attention and respect.  In fact, watching fish is contemplating oneself.  The artist uses personified manner to create a strong visual appeal to emphasize the fact that the weakness of life is more about vicissitudes, confusion and helplessness.  Life can occupy our soul so that we can reach a state in which both material and oneself are forgotten.  The artist expresses the easily neglected life in a gloomy and sad way. 

You are not fish.  How do you know the happiness of fish?  Sadness is fine.  Happiness is fine.  These are all man's wishful thinking.  Fish is not fish.  Fish is fish.
