遇·变

吴少英出生于澳门，曾在台北居住八年，近年移居北京，其充满诗意的作品备受瞩目。此次展出的作品从她过往的创作累积中衍生出新颖的艺术风格，通过使用新的材料和手法体现出艺术家勇于创新的个性。

吴少英利用不同的液体材料将它们相互混合，同时有意地控制液体之间的交融，从而产生出意想不到的变异。绚丽的图像变化以及液体之间的色彩渲染，带给观者无比精彩的视觉感受。每一个变化瞬间都存在着不可预知的结局，定格的这种结局又暗示出未来的变化。从一次冲洗墨盘所看到的色彩变化到清洗几天前喝剩的咖啡残渣，吴少英的创作总是来源于她的日常生活，这些日常的行为所见激发了她强烈的创作意识，而创作的本源则来自于她所身处的这个社会环境。吴少英利用了她自身的改变使周围发生变化，而周围环境的变化又促使她个人的转变。

人与人、人与物的交流过程带出了人生不可知的变化结果，而这种不可知的变化又被定格出了可控制的结果。艺术家通过这种演义方式阐述了人在现实社会中的茫然以及拥有自主性的另一面。人——做为个体在社会环境中的随逐性与自身的自主性如同吴少英的作品般描绘出这两者间绚丽多彩的遇变。

Cindy Ng, an artist from Macao who has lived in Taiwan for eight years, has recently settled in Beijing . Her poetic ink paintings have caught considerable attention in recent years. Unlike previous artwork, Cindy adapts various materials and elements to capture the essence of new creation and innovation in art.

Cindy  combines different liquefying elements and textures to manipulate a versatile piece that signifies unexpected transformation, thus amplifying the “control of the uncontrollable” notion in life. These alluring combinations of elements bring tremendous sensation to viewers. Each stage of transformation underlines an unforeseen result. Such profound implication is expressed through capturing these dynamic changes. The encounter of people and things leads us to different conversions in life. Within these uncontrollable changes there are certain manipulations one can possess. By adopting this particular form of narration, the artist highlights the contrast between bewilderment and the ability to make one’s own decisions in life. It is the intersection between the two that shapes the transformation and versatile outcomes.
