日本摄影家后冈喜信摄影展《红色的记忆-----某处，无处不在》将于2011年1月8日在百年印象画廊展出。

身为日本城西国际大学传媒系教授，和北京电影学院客座教授的后冈喜信，常年从事数字图像和当代摄影理论的研究。对数字化时代影像的表现方法有深入的研究。今天展出的《红色记忆》系列是艺术家对上海这座现代化城市记忆的集锦，正如艺术家所讲：都市作为一个记号,由历史与文化的多元性记忆的层次而构成，也不断地产生出新的记忆。这几年，我通过拍摄中国的都市，一层一层地解读了都市记忆的堆积。这种行为链接着我对自身记忆的探索，也就是我对我活下来的时代拥有的记忆的探索。

艺术家用传统的拍摄手法记录下这座城市的片段，又用现在的数字话手段对原始的影像进行再处理再创作。使得影像的表现方式更加主观化和个人化，也更凸显了艺术家对上海这座城市的非客观性的评述。

这些图片并不是某一个事件和特定的故事，只有“与记忆的对峙”这些记忆对艺术家自身的现实工作也会具有特定的意义。

Japanese photographer Nochioka, Yoshinobu’s exhibition Memories of Red—Somewhere and Nowhere will be shown at 798 Photo Gallery on January 8, 2011.

As a professor of the Mass Media School of Japan Josai International University and visiting professor of Beijing Film Academy, Nochioka, Yoshinobu has been studying digital image and modern photography theory for many years, and he has an in-depth study on image reflection methods in the digital era. Today’s Memories of Red series is the artist’s assorted memories of the modern city Shanghai. Just as the artiest pointed out, city as a mark is made of layers of multiple memories of history and culture, and continues to produce new memories. In recent years, by shooting China’s cities, I have interpreted the accumulation of city memories layer by layer. This practice links to the exploration of my own memories, ie, the exploration of the memories of the time of my life.

The artist recorded fragments of the city in traditional photographic methods, and then reproduced them with modern digital methods, rendering the presentation of the images more subjective and personalized, which also highlights the artist’s non-objective opinions about the city of Shanghai.

These images do not tell an event or a specific story; they are mere “confrontation against memories”. These memories also have a specific meaning for the real work of the artist himself.
