非墨

我和王非同年出生又是同乡，同为皖西北偏僻乡村走出来的人，在经受过许多的人生起伏，遭遇过不少的苦难后，方于命运的砂轮中磨砺出一颗强大而坚韧的心。印象中的王非，可以如堂·吉诃德自嘲式地苦中作乐，却又能像保尔·柯察金钢铁般的勇往无前，能敏锐地洞察艺术的时代先锋，却又能智慧地遨游其中。

多年来，王非致力于当代水墨的创作与实践，以独特的语言再现当代人的生存现状及其命运。王非以学者的姿态置身于艺术，以出世的心态面对生活。他深居简出，潜心创作，无论水墨的传统与现代，还是抽象与具象皆有深涉，创作出《生的去向》、《镜像天庭》、《丰欲的困倦》等一系列作品，印证了一代人对中国水墨的探究和人文理想。体现出一位杰出艺术家以文化先锋的身份肩负的时代使命，对民族文化的本位回归，为当代水墨的发展，践行出可视的途径和前景。

艺术之于王非，是一种职业，一种虔诚；非墨之于王非，是一种文化立场，是其当代水墨艺术的觉醒。

王非，生于安徽。任教于清华大学当代艺术研究生课程班，中国传媒大学客座教授。

Non-Ink

Wang Fei, a great ink artist, who was born and rise in the same year and same place with me, an isolate place in south west of Anhui. After years up and down, he has gradually developed into a great ink artist with a big and determined heart. In my memory, Wang Fei is like Don Quixote, joking about himself in difficulties but also has a determined heart to keep moving forward, like Paul Ko Till Godden, wondering in the arts with keen eyes on the development of arts.

Wang Fei has been devoted himself to the creation and exploration of modern ink and with his unique art language to reshow people`s life as well as their living environments in modern days. Wang Fei explors arts with academic attitute but to life with the attitute of detached. He is very reclusive and devotes himself to creating. He has gained great achievements no matter traditional, modern, abstracts or figurative arts. With years of study and pondering, he creates several series works, for example, Orientation of Life, Mirror Forehead and Abundant Desire Sleepiness, which reflect his great study on Chinese ink and also the humanistic ideals of this generation. Meanwhile, it also shows the mission of this age carried by him, as a cultural pioneer, which contributes the great future of modern ink development.

To Wang Fei, art is a career and also the sincere. No-Ink shows the attitude of him in terms of culture, especially reflects the awaking of modern ink arts.

Wang Fei, the visiting professor in Communication University of China, was born in Anhui province and now lectures in the graduate class in Tinghua University.
