当下社会畸形发展，只把经济建设、GDP快速上升以及金钱的拥有作为重要的价值观。生活在这个时代的某些人，过多的追求物质享受，逐渐丧失了自己的精神追求。很多人拥有豪车、洋房，但仍然大呼“幸福在哪里”。我身边也不乏这样的群体，他们有大把的空闲时间，有花不完的金钱，算是名符其实的小资一族，却过着看似充实、实则空虚；看似富有、实则贫穷的生活，玩乐、吸毒、猜疑争斗、游戏人生成了他们生活的主题，这样的一个社会群体、这样的一种生存状态带给我深深的忧虑和对人生的不断叩问。
这次展览作品的创作灵感就来自于我身边的这些小资朋友。作品中塑造的小资朋友有男有女，都很注重生活品位，通常拥有显赫的背景、华丽的外表和精致的装束，但没有生活目标，缺乏奋斗精神，缺乏社会责任感，灵魂与身体相背离，举止眉目之间透露出无可救药的懒散、颓废和失落。

我希望通过这样的画面，呼唤作为社会一份子的每个人具有“大爱”情怀：真诚、奋斗、乐观、向上，为自己，更为他人而存在！

Our contemporary society enjoys an abnormal development of economic growth, with the rapid increase of the GDP as one of the most important values in life. Quite some people we live with are in excessive chase of material riches and gradually lost their spiritual pursuit. Many people have luxurious cars and houses and call that “ Happiness”. For me these group of people have a lot of free time, filled with riches – they are the new petty bourgeoisie –living a seemingly full life, but in reality it is empty, seemingly wealthy, but in reality living a life of intellectual poverty, full of play, drug abuse and suspicion. The game of life has become their whole meaning of existence. This group of people raises my deep concern and pushes me further to inquire in the meaning of life. This exhibition is inspired by these petty bourgeois friends around us. They are in the shape of women and men, they attach a great importance to lifestyle, they usually have a distinguished background, looking gorgeous and wearing fashionable clothes. But there is no real goal in their lives, they lack the fighting spirit and have very little social responsibility. The Soul and Body shows a discrepancy which reveals a behavior of hopelessness, laziness, decadency and loss.

My hope for the society is rather a picture of “Big Love” , as part of the community where everyone has feelings, good faith and optimism for themselves and even more for the people around them.
