中国国际青年艺术周是由中国文化部准批、中国对外文化交流协会和中国对外文化集团公司主办的，是中国第一个以青年为主体、政府为主导的每年一次的大型国际艺术活动。自2008年以来的往届艺术周，成功的以丰富多样的文化活动得到了各界的高度赞扬。作为第五届中国国际青年艺术周的精品活动之一的《当代艺术展》将于2012年8月间在北京同期举行。

当代青年艺术家，凭借他们具有鲜活感染力的作品，融入中国国际青年艺术周的亮丽舞台，以艺术的激情、创新的点亮告知世界：人类的美好追求永远属于年轻的心。

《当代艺术展》将通过“提名展”的阶进方式，以使更多作品参与展览。在征稿结束前（3—6月间）以入选者报名先后分多场次陆续展出。

China international youth arts festival is examination and approval by China's ministry of culture, China's foreign cultural exchange association and China foreign culture group company that is the first to youth as the main body and the government as the leading an annual large international art activities. As the fifth China international youth arts festival of the high-quality goods of one of the contemporary art exhibition (CAE) will be held in early August 2012 Beijing where it is in the world’s largest art district, 798, Beijing.
