介入——366天

2009年我被邀请参与由上海証大美术馆筹划的“介入——366天”，每天邀请一位来自世界各地的艺术家来到上海，用艺术来“介入”上海市民的生活。我的作品是租了一部出租车，然后於车头及车厢内装设两部摄录机同步拍摄，我跟司机坐在车上在马路上“兜客”，遇到截车的人便下车

向他们介绍，然后免费接载他们到想去的目的地，在途中我们閒话家常，到埗后我们还与的士一起合照留念，由早到晚十多个小时，除了午饭外，我们都在“介入”上海市民的生活，最终整天接载了十二位乘客，当中有退休人士、公司老闆、文员、外来工作的人士以及著名艺术家徐冰的助手等…。

Intrude: Art & Life 366

In 2009, I was invited to participate in Intrude: Art & Life 366, an art project organised by Zendai Museum of Modern Art. Each day, the project invited one artist from various parts of the world to Shanghai, harnessing art to ‘intrude’ upon the life of the Shanghainese. My work was to hire a taxi, which was installed with two video cameras – one mounted in front and one inside the car – to simultaneously record the surroundings whilst the driver and I wandered the streets looking for ‘passengers’. Whenever someone hailed a taxi, we stopped, introduced them to my purpose and delivered them to their destination free of charge. During the drive, we talked casually about everything and took pictures with the taxi as the background when reaching the destination. From morning to evening, except for the lunch hour, we ‘intruded’ upon the life of the Shanghainese. Altogether, we picked up 12 passengers, including the retired, company owners, administrative staff, foreign workers and the assistant of celebrated artist Xu Bing, etc.
